Fun things that come in six’s: strings on a guitar, washboard abs, sides on a cube, senses (if you’re Haley Joel Osment), and our LibraryWorks Modern Library Awards!
We are pleased to receive our sixth Platinum Award in a row for Transparent Language Online in 2021.
The Modern Library Awards (MLAs) are like the People’s Choice Awards, but much better because they are chosen by librarians. The MLAs were established to recognize the best products and services in the library industry thanks to the more than 80,000 participating librarians from public, K-12, academic and specialty libraries.
Only librarians who have recently used a product or service are allowed to evaluate it. Each judge rates the product from 1 to 10 based on a series of questions about functionality, value, customer service, and beyond.
The following points are awarded:
- Platinum (8.5-10.0)
- Gold (7.5 – 8.4)
- Silver (6.50 – 7.4)
For the sixth time in a row, Transparent Language Online has received a Platinum Award, the highest possible honor!
Our library programs manager, Lauren Gancarz, returns the following loans to our clients:
“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award for the sixth time in a row – and we would like to thank all of our customers for it. We spend a lot of time in conferences, meetings, training courses and webinars to hear what our customers like about Transparent Language Online and what aspects they would like to improve. It is these conversations that allow us to turn feedback into actionable elements and make improvements that our customers really want to see, and we believe this award reflects all of the great feedback we receive each year. “
Unfortunately we haven’t been able to travel this year, but that hasn’t stopped us from meeting (virtually!) With library subscribers to get their feedback and improve the learning experience for their communities of diverse learners.
Your feedback has inspired us in 2020:
This award speaks for the success of this collaboration with our libraries. Many thanks to our existing library partners, merci, gracias, 谢谢 and beyond.
For librarians curious to bring language learning opportunities to your community, we look forward to speaking with you in 2021 and showing you what’s new in Transparent Language Online for Libraries.
