2.Transfers (Transfers) – 1 season (2017)

3. La Foret (The Forest) – 1 Season (2017)

4th Au service de la France (A very secret service) – 2 seasons (2015-2018)

5.Le Bazar de la Charité (The Bonfire of Fate) – 1 Season (2019)

Set in 1897, it revolves around a real fire that killed 126 people in an annual charity event for the Parisian aristocracy. Le Bazar de la Charité is a fictional version of the story that follows the lives of three women who attended the event but survived. If you liked the series The circle that hit Netflix in 2020, good news – there is one The county of France waiting for you! While there are tons of high-quality French Netflix shows out there, we thought it made sense to pick up some unsatisfying candy for the tired, pandemic-borne brain. The concept is simple: Reality candidates are kept separate (but in the same building) and interact through a private social network where they present their best selves … or someone else entirely. And then they vote anonymously within The Circle (this is the social network) who can stay. Yum.

While the French-Canadian series on Netflix are not as numerous as those made in France, there is tons of great Québecois content to watch. With a completely different accent and a variety of unique phrases, familiarize yourself with the French Québec style, especially if you’re thinking about a trip to the Francophone province.

11. Plan cœur (The Hook Up Plan) – 2 Seasons (2018 – Present)

While not necessarily high art, Plan cœur is very pleasant when rom-coms are your cup of tea. Think of it like a French Sex and the City available on Netflix. This is followed by a woman who is 30 years old and still hung up, whose friends decide to secretly hire a male escort for her. As you can imagine, kidnappings happen. At least it is a more accurate representation of the lifestyle and people of Paris than Emily in Paris.

12.Lupine – 1 season (2021 – present)

Genre: Secret, thriller, espionage

Country of origin: France

Finally perhaps the best French show on Netflix, the new series lupine got streamers all over the world excited. The second half of the first season is still out, but the show is in good bones.

It follows Omar Sy as Assane Diop, the only son of an immigrant from Senegal who led the life of a professional thief, inspired by the adventures of the French literary figure Arsène Lupine. Lupine is a fictional gentleman thief and master of disguise, but a true literary character created by the French writer Maurice Leblanc in the early 20th century.

The show skillfully plays and rents the original source material. Think something like Sherlock or Luther, but in French. lupine has reached # 1 in Netflix’s top 10 most watched lists in France, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Argentina and many other countries around the world. It also rose to # 3 in the United States, making it the first French-language show to break the US top 10.
